Reed Market Bridge Project Update
PROJECT UPDATE
Thank you to everyone that participated in the Fall open house for the Reed
Market Bridge project. We have posted a summary of comments and responses from
the open house on the project website under Frequently Asked
Questions.
Since the open house, the team submitted and is approaching closeout of the
environmental review by the Federal Railroad Administration.
We anticipate beginning the final design phase in mid-2026 through 2027.
Construction is estimated to begin in mid-2027 and is anticipated to continue
through 2029. Detour plans will be announced as the design progresses and will
allow plenty of time for planning ahead.
Public outreach efforts, including additional open houses and small-group
meetings will resume once the design & construction contract is in place,
approximately summer 2026.

A 2020 TRANSPORTATION GO BOND PROJECT
This project is currently funded through the Preliminary Engineering and
Environmental Review phases with a grant from the Federal Rail Administration
(FRA) and the 2020 Transportation General Obligation (GO) Bond approved by
voters in November 2020.
