Community Sponsorship & Grant Program Request Form

If event will be held outdoors or in a City right of way, it may require a Special Event or Noise permit. Please refer to the City of Bend Special Event and Noise Variance permitting guidelines to determine whether your event requires a City of Bend permit.

As outlined in the Administrative Policy, the event, program, or project must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for City funds:

• A clear connection to Council Goals and/or City initiatives.
• Demonstrate a clear public purpose. In general, a public purpose is defined as an activity or service that is open to all members of the public, regardless of race, color, national origin, age (if the individual is 18 years of age or older), religion, creed, sex (including pregnancy), gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, religious affiliation, veteran status, or genetic information., and which does not promote a particular religion. In addition, all programs must be accessible to individuals with disabilities, as set forth in the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
• Free and open to all community members to attend or participate. If a registration fee is required, a sliding scale or scholarship option must be available.
• The event, program, or project must not promote religious or political agendas and must not discriminate based on age, race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, disability, national origin, or any other protected class described in applicable federal, state, or local law.

Sponsorship recipients may either be an organization registered with the Secretary of State or an individual. Please note, individuals awarded a sponsorship will be issued a 1099 and the award may be taxable income under Federal IRS tax law.

By submitting this application, I certify that all of the information provided is true and accurate to the best of my knowledge as of the date of this application. I also certify that, if the applicant is an organization or entity, I am authorized to submit this application on the organization’s behalf. I understand that if the information submitted is not true and accurate, the applicant may be deemed ineligible to receive sponsorship funds from the City and/or may be required to return any monies awarded under the City’s sponsorship program. The City reserves the right not to award sponsorship funds for any reason.
