2016 Law Enforcement Torch Run

Date: June 14, 2016

Central Oregon Law Enforcement is proud to announce our annual Law Enforcement Torch Run to support Oregon Special Olympics. This annual run is one of many events members from all Central Oregon Law Enforcement participate in annually to support athletes, generate public awareness for Oregon Special Olympics and assist in helping raise funds for the athletes to compete in a year round sports program.

Black Butte Police Department, Sunriver Police Department, Bend Police Department, Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, Redmond Police Department, Madras Police Department, local FBI special agents and the Deschutes County District Attorney’s Office will be participating in the Torch Run this year. On Thursday June 16th, members from these agencies will meet and then leave from the Bend Police Department at 9:00 am, running to Sunriver and finishing at the North Store, located at 18135 Cottonwood Rd. This 17 mile run will be supported by numerous staff members from each agency.

We encourage you to visit the Oregon Special Olympics website at Oregon Special Olympics to learn more about the Torch Run and see how you can help with the athletes of Oregon Special Olympics.
