Admiral & King Jehu Sewer Project Update – April 11, 2022

TENTATIVE CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES (KING HEZEKIAH WAY AND KING JEHU WAY)

  • In general, construction sequencing will begin on King Hezekiah Way, followed by King Jehu Way, and then on Admiral Way.
  • Pothole activities are occurring this week.
  • Erosion control devices (straw wattle, construction fencing, etc.) and traffic control setup (signs, barricades, etc.) will occur this week.
  • Locate markings are painted on the ground, indicating where underground utilities are located
  • Survey staking is ongoing; please do not move or remove any wooden survey stakes.
  • Minor tree trimming activities and/or clearing will occur as needed.
  • Pre-hammering (an activity to facilitate excavation via rock breaking) is anticipated to begin later this week and occur for a couple of weeks.

Below is an example of a straw wattle installation. Straw wattle is an erosion control measure that helps capture sediment and other runoff from exiting the construction limits.

TRAFFIC CONTROL

Traffic control signs have been staged on King Hezekiah and are anticipated to be implemented on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. The closure area (solid red line) and detour (blue dashed line) are shown below. Local access will be provided on King Hezekiah Way and King Solomon Court for homeowners living on those streets. Please proceed with caution when driving in the construction zone.

Road Closed to Thru Traffic / Local Access Only

Local traffic (meaning homeowners who live adjacent to the construction zone) can drive past this sign to access their driveways/homes. Please use extreme caution when driving in the construction zone.
