Admiral & King Jehu Sewer Project Update – July 4, 2022

TENTATIVE CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES FOR ADMIRAL WAY

  • Rock hammering continues on Admiral Way.
  • Admiral Way is closed to thru-traffic. Local access to residences is provided. Please refer to the detour map below.
  • Lateral staking should now be current or pending relocation if you have been communicating directly with the project contact. Please reach out to the project contact if you still feel your lateral is not in the correct location.
  • Construction survey staking is ongoing; please do not move or remove any wooden survey stakes.
  • Minor tree trimming and clearing in the right of way for the main line or lateral installation will continue as needed. At the end of the project, the crews will tidy anything that was cleared or trimmed and still looks “rough.”

TENTATIVE CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES FOR KING JEHU WAY & KING HEZEKIAH WAY

  • Paving is scheduled for July 6 on King Hezekiah only.
    • PLEASE PLAN TO PARK YOUR VEHICLES OUTSIDE THE CONSTRUCTION ZONE ON THIS DAY. VEHICLES NEED TO BE MOVED OUT OF THE CONSTRUCTION ZONE BY 7:00 AM ON WEDNESDAY, JULY 6.
    • You will be unable to drive on the roadway during paving activities. You will be able to drive on the roadway once paving is completed on Wednesday evening, approximately 6:00 PM.
  • Paving work is anticipated on King Jehu for the week of July 11. More information will be provided as it approaches. Door flyers will be delivered a minimum of 48 hours in advance.
  • Landscape restoration will occur over the next couple of weeks. As a reminder, items that will be replaced include bark mulch, rock mulch, cinders, sod, timbers, and any mailboxes or irrigation lines that were disturbed during construction. Items in the right-of-way that will not be restored include fences, rock walls, concrete borders, pavers, trees that were identified for removal, and plants/bushes/flowers other than sod that were impacted.
  • Finish repair work on the maintenance hole at the King Solomon/King Hezekiah intersection is now complete.
  • Lateral installation on King Jehu is ongoing.
  • Traffic control measures will remain in place until King Jehu is paved and all pipe testing is complete.

Below is a photo of the repair to the pipe penetration at the maintenance hole at King Hezekiah/King Solomon. The finished product has an epoxy coat over all exposed concrete, which resists corrosion and water intrusion.

TRAFFIC CONTROL

The maps below show the closure area (solid red line) and detour (blue dashed line). Local access will be provided for homeowners living on the closed streets. You may experience minor delays when driving through the construction zone. If an excavator is in the way, make eye contact or wave, and they are typically good at moving out of the way to let traffic pass. Please proceed with caution when driving in the construction zone. We appreciate your ongoing patience.
