Admiral & King Jehu Sewer Project Update – September 26, 2022

TENTATIVE CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES FOR ADMIRAL WAY 

• Roadway preparation is ongoing this week.
• Pipe and maintenance hole testing is ongoing.
• Paving is scheduled for October 4 and 5 along Admiral Way, from Reed Market to Greenmont Avenue (“Construction Zone”). 
  • You will not be able to drive on the roadway during paving activities (between 7:00 AM and 6:30 PM). You will not be able to access your driveways during paving activities (between 7:00 AM and 6:30 PM). You will still be able to access your home and vehicle on foot.
  • PLEASE PARK YOUR VEHICLES OUTSIDE OF THE CONSTRUCTION ZONE. VEHICLES NEED TO BE MOVED OUT OF THE CONSTRUCTION ZONE BY 7:00 AM ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 4, AND 7:00 AM ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 5.  
  • You will be able to drive on the pavement on Tuesday and Wednesday after paving operations are completed each day after 6:30 PM.
  • Asphalt driveways will be paved at the time of roadway paving.
• Admiral Way will remain closed to thru-traffic until final construction activities are complete, including shoulder rock placement and landscape restoration. Final activities are expected the week following paving.
• If you are experiencing any service interruptions (cable, internet, etc.) please contact the project team immediately so that it can be addressed prior to paving.
• Notice of Operation Completion letters are anticipated to be mailed by mid-October, pending all sewer testing and inspections pass.

TRAFFIC CONTROL

The closure area (on the map below in red) and detour (blue dashed line) is shown below. Local access will be provided for homeowners living on the closed streets. You may experience minor delays when driving through the construction zone. If an excavator is in the way, make eye contact or wave, and they are typically good at moving out of the way to let traffic pass. Please proceed with caution when driving in the construction zone. We appreciate your ongoing patience.
