Bend MPO FY20-21 Budget News

NOTICE OF BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING

A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the Bend Metropolitan Planning Organization (BMPO), Deschutes County, in the State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year (FY) July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021. This proposed budget has been prepared in accordance with the basis of accounting used in the preceding year. 

A copy of the budget document will be available on-line on April 27, 2020 at www.bendoregon.gov/mpobudget.

The meeting will take place on May 5, 2020 at 12:00 pm. The purpose of this meeting is to hear the budget message and to receive comment from the public on the budget.  

In compliance with Executive Order No. 20-12, in person public meetings are limited.  In response to Governor Kate Brown’s directive on social distancing measures to slow the spread of COVID-19 and reduce the risk of exposure to our communities, this will be a virtual meeting and will be available for public and committee live viewing.  The link to the meeting will be posted at www.bendoregon.gov/mpobudget with the agenda by May 1, 2020.

The BMPO welcomes anyone to submit testimony, questions or comments on the budget document. If you would like to make a public comment, please submit written testimony via email at janderson@bendoregon.gov by May 18, 2020 at 5pm in order to be included in the BMPO Policy Board meeting where the final decision will be made on the FY 20-21 BMPO Budget.

Any person may call in to the meeting to ask questions, discuss the proposed programs and appear for or against any item in the budget document with the Budget Committee.  Additional comments will be accepted after the Budget Committee meeting held on May 5, 2020.  Please submit written comments by email to janderson@bendoregon.gov, telephonic at (541) 693-2122, or mail 710 NW Wall Street, Bend, Oregon 97703, Attn: Bend MPO Budget received by May 4, 2020 in order to be included in the Budget Committee meeting and by May 18, 2020 in order to be included in the BMPO Policy Board meeting where the final decision will be made on the FY 20-21 BMPO Budget.
