Brosterhous Accessibility Project Update – October 3, 2022

Starting Wednesday, October 5, Brosterhous Road will close to vehicles at the railroad crossing just north of Caldera Drive to address safety concerns from parents associated with the nearby schools and to prepare for upcoming construction work.

This closure is anticipated to be in place through mid-December. A signed detour will be available for vehicles. Pedestrian and bike access will remain open. Emergency vehicle access remains available at all times.

The construction project will add a safe pedestrian passage to get under the railroad crossing. Learn more on the project website: Brosterhous Accessibility Improvements | City of Bend (bendoregon.gov)

Construction is scheduled to begin on October 24 and is anticipated to last until mid-December. We appreciate your patience and cooperation.
