Butler Market Road – Rumgay Access
PROJECT UPDATE – Correction
Temporary access closure to Rumgay Lane is anticipated to begin tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 4 through Friday, Nov. 7.
Safety First
Heavy equipment operations are active throughout the work zone. Thank you for staying alert and being extra cautious—both in the construction area and along the detour route.
Side Street Access
- Temporary access closure to Rumgay Lane is anticipated Tuesday, Nov. 4 through Friday, Nov. 7.
- A 1-2 day access closure of Jones Road will be in place by a franchise utility contractor for relocation of their infrastructure. The date has not yet been determined.
Periodic closures of access to side streets will be required. Please follow posted signs. Temporary closures of side street access will be required throughout construction.

Westbound Butler Market Road Closure and Detours
Westbound Butler Market Road is closed for construction from Brinson Boulevard to Eighth Street. To reduce impacts to traffic, eastbound travel will remain open for the duration of construction. Emergency response vehicle access will be maintained throughout construction.
Improvements Above and Below Ground
Once complete, the project will deliver a long-desired upgrade to intersection safety and travel reliability, sewer system improvements, and safer connections for pedestrians and bicyclists traveling between neighborhoods, schools, parks, and businesses in the area.
