City Council Adopts Goal 11 Public Facility Plans
On December 17th the Bend City Council unanimously adopted Goal 11 public facility plans for both stormwater and sewer. The Oregon Statewide Planning Goal 11 requires cities the size of Bend to develop and adopt public facility plans. The newly adopted public facility plans provide an inventory and general assessment of the condition of the public facility systems and list significant long and short term projects needed for the 20-year planning period. The City Council recently adopted master plans for stormwater and the city’s collection system for the areas within the current urban growth boundary. The stormwater and collection system public facility plans rely on these master plans.
Chapter 8 of the Bend Area General Plan was amended to provide new text that summarize the PFP’s and updates maps and tables to reflect the current master plans. The PFP’s are included in the appendices of the Bend Area General Plan.
