Columbia Roundabout Improvements Project Update – April 07, 2021
The Colorado/Columbia Intersection Remains Closed
SAFETY FIRST
Please follow detour signage for the safest route around the construction corridor. Use safe speeds along the detour routes and continue to be considerate of pedestrian and bicycle traffic.
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
April 7 through April 13 – Colorado/Columbia Intersection
- Curbing adjacent to sidewalks is being poured as the roundabout continues to take shape.
- Grading for concrete work around the center truck apron continues.
- Other upcoming concrete work will include crosswalks, ADA ramps, bike ramps, and light base poles.
DETOUR
- The Colorado Avenue/Columbia Street intersection remains closed.
- Construction is on schedule, and the closure is anticipated to last through the middle of May.
- The following detour remains in effect.

BUSINESS ACCESS
Business access remains open on all legs of this project affected by the current detour.
Access to Mill Point, OSU-Cascades, 705-775 SE Bonnett Way, 600-650 SW Columbia, and Deschutes Ridge businesses is available by driving past this sign and through the Columbia Street/Shevlin Hixon Intersection.
