Columbia Roundabout Improvements Project Update – March 17, 2021
The Colorado Ave./Columbia St. Intersection Is Closed
SAFETY FIRST, THIS IS A WORK ZONE
- If you are a pedestrian or bicyclist in the area of construction, please pay careful attention to the circulation signage.
- Bicyclists, please consider walking your bicycle through this intersection.
- Closures will shift as construction progresses, so be mindful of your surroundings.

Construction Update
March 10 through 16 – Colorado Ave./Columbia St. Intersection
- The Colorado Avenue/Columbia Street intersection is closed. The closure is anticipated to last through the middle of May 2021.
- Parking on Emkay Drive is being monitored for possible reductions to one side of the street ‘No Parking’ enforcement.
- The first of new sidewalks are formed and ready to be poured, weather providing.
- Asphalt removal in the main intersection is anticipated to begin this week.
- The following detour is in effect.
BUSINESS ACCESS
Business Access remains open on all legs of this project affected by the current detour.
Access to Mill Point, OSU-Cascades, 705-775 SE Bonnett Way, 600-650 SW Columbia, and Deschutes Ridge businesses is available by driving past this sign and through the Columbia Street/Shevlin Hixon Intersection.
