Type of Incident: Multiple vehicle crash

Location of Incident: NE Greenwood at NE 8th Street

Narrative: While responding to a call, a Bend Police Officer was involved in a traffic crash on NE 8th and NE Greenwood.  The crash occurred just before 7:00 am on March 5th.  The crash caused damage to multiple vehicles, including the patrol car.  Bend Fire and Rescue and the Oregon State Police responded to assist in the investigation. At this time, eastbound NE Greenwood is closed at NE 7th Street to NE 8th Street. Traffic is being diverted and will continue to be diverted while the crash is being investigated.
