Drake Pump Station Weekly Update – July 31, 2020

Construction Begins on the Drake Pump Station

  • K & E Excavating construction crews are currently installing a new waterline and have been performing other underground improvements around the pump station.
  • Work hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday – Friday.
    • During work hours:
      • NW Riverside will be intermittently closed to thru-traffic from NW McKay Avenue to NW McCann Ave.
      • NW Congress will be closed to thru-traffic from NW McKay Avenue to NW St. Helens Pl. starting in August. 
      • Detour routes will be established and traffic control devices installed for both road closures.
  • Active Culture is open during construction.
  • Drake Pump Station Upgrade Project is scheduled to be completed in November 2020.

Please stay out of work zones and away from construction equipment. Excavated areas are considered unsafe for yourself, children, and pets.

  • Walk and bicycle in designated areas only.
  • Access to the construction area is limited to construction workers.
  • Do not remove barriers, warning signs/warning tape, or fencing.
  • Construction is dependent on weather conditions and other factors.
