Drake Pump Station Weekly Update – October 09, 2020

Construction Continues on the Pump Station and on ADA Ramps in the Area

  • K & E Excavating construction crews will be working on upgrading the pump station.
  • ADA curb ramp work is near complete, and asphalt paving was completed at a couple of intersections.
    • Additional paving activities will be occurring in the near future, including a complete resurfacing of the Riverside and Congress intersection.
  • Major mechanical and electrical aspects of the project are commencing.
  • Active Culture is open during construction.
  • Work hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday -Friday.
    • During work hours:
      • NW Riverside will be intermittently closed to thru-traffic from NW McKay Avenue to NW McCann Avenue.
      • NW Congress will be intermittently closed to thru-traffic from NW McKay Avenue to NW St. Helens Place.
      • Detour routes and traffic control devices will be implemented for both road closures.
  • Drake pump station upgrade is scheduled to be completed in November 2020.
  • Construction is dependent on weather conditions and other factors.

  • Please stay out of work zones and away from construction equipment. Excavated areas are considered unsafe for yourself, children, and pets.
  • Walk and bicycle in designated areas only. 
  • Access to the construction area is limited to construction workers.
  • Do not remove barriers or warning signs/warning tape or fencing.
