Empire Corridor Improvements Project Update – August 5, 2021

Thank you for your interest in the Empire Corridor Improvements Project.

Concrete Work May Continue On-site, Saturday, AUGUST 7 

Intermittent early morning work will start August 9-September 4. Work will begin as early as 4:00 AM during this timeframe.

  • Intermittent work will occur at the intersections of NE Wild Rivers Loop, NE Cradle Mountain Way, NE Purser Avenue, and NE Castle Avenue for the next four weeks.
  • One intersection will be closed at a time during work hours. All intersections will be open at the end of the workday.

Please Stay Out of Work Zones and Away From Construction Equipment 

  • The construction area is considered unsafe for yourself, children and pets.
  • Walk and bicycle in designated areas only.
  • Access to the construction area is limited to construction workers.
  • Do not remove barriers, warning signs, warning tape, or fencing.
  • Do not drive over construction cones or barriers.
  • Daytime work hours are in effect from 7:00 AM-5:30 PM. Closures are in effect at all times.

Please Use Detour Route Around Construction Zone 

  • Detours in place during construction.
  • Construction is dependent on weather and other factors.
  • There are many construction projects in the area and throughout the City of Bend. Travel safely.
