Empire Avenue Extension Work Progresses

  • Work was recently completed to pave a portion of the Empire Avenue Extension to the North Unit Main Canal. 
  • Work continues from the North Unit Main Canal heading east towards Butler Market Road and the 27th Street intersection.
  • The Empire Avenue extension will open when the Butler Market roundabout is completed in the Fall of 2020.  
  • Marcum & Sons is scheduled to pour concrete next week on the NUID crossing structure.  
  • The crossing structure will be completed in July 2020.
  • All construction is dependent on weather conditions and other factors.

Oregon Department of Transportation Seeks Input on the Bend Parkway

The Oregon Department of Transportation is seeking input on various ideas to improve congestion and safety on the Bend Parkway. The public is invited to comment through an online survey until Sunday, December 15th.
