Empire Corridor Improvements Project Weekly Update – July 9, 2020

Blasting Will Occur Friday, July 10^th Near Butler Market Road & Deschutes Market Road and Yeoman Road

• All Blasting will take place on or near the Petrosa Development.
• Blasting is dependent on weather conditions and other factors.

Empire Pedestrian/Bicycle Undercrossing Will Open Tuesday, July 14^th

• Please stay out of work zones and away from construction equipment. Excavated areas are considered unsafe for yourself, children, and pets.
• Walk and bicycle in designated areas only. Sidewalks and paths along the Empire Extension remain closed; please stay on Bend Parks and Recreation’s paths and the paths along the NUID canal. All other areas are off-limits for the time being.
• Access to the construction area is limited to construction workers.
• Do not remove barriers or warning signs/warning tape or fencing.

Above & Below: Butler Market Road & 27^th Street roundabout.

• Empire Avenue will extend to 27^th Street/Butler Market Road.
• North-south legs of 27^th & Butler Market roundabout is scheduled to open mid-August.
• Deschutes Market Road and Eagle Cole Road roundabouts will open in early September.
• Construction is dependent on weather conditions and other factors.
