Finance Department Donates Easter Baskets

Over 70 Easter Baskets were delivered on April 7 to Kid’s Center, a child advocacy agency serving Deschutes County. The Finance Department donates Easter Baskets for this deserving, non-profit agency every year.

Originally the brain-child of Sonia Andrews, the activity has held steady for over 12 years. Maureen Parco, who organized this year’s event, says it is a favorite worthwhile cause as well as a rewarding experience for the Finance staff members. Planning began in early March to gather adorable toys, yummy candy and baskets, all donated by department staff members. Some of the fun toys included little ball people that light up, fans, cards and stuffed animals. Newport Market donated cellophane to wrap the baskets.
