Murphy Corridor Improvements Project Update – April 17, 2021

Week of April 19 Construction Activities

• Streetlight junction boxes will be installed.
• Crews will be pouring curbs, sidewalks, and driveways between Benham Road and Parrell Road.
• Crews will finish backfilling the retaining wall along Murphy Road, west of Tapadera Street.
• Installation of catch basins and stormwater crossings will continue.
• Demolition work will continue on the north side of Murphy Road.
• Crews will tie abutment wall and wing wall rebar on the west abutment of the BNSF bridge overcrossing.

Traffic Reminder

The south and east leg of the Murphy Road/Country Club Drive roundabout are open. Murphy Road is one way from Country Club to Parrell Road (local access only).

Westbound Detour: Take Murphy Road to Country Club Drive. Turn right on Knott Road. Turn right on China Hat Road. Turn right on Parrell Road.

Eastbound Detour: Take Murphy Road to Parrell Road. Continue on Parrell Road, turn right on Brosterhous Road, and follow to stop sign. Turn right on Brosterhous Road and follow through Brosterhous Roundabout to Murphy Road.
