Murphy Corridor Improvements Project Update – April 30, 2020
Thank you for your interest in the Murphy Corridor Improvements Project.
Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway (BNSF) has approved the 100% bridge design. The next step will be BNSF’s approval of the bridge maintenance agreement. Bridge construction is expected to begin in October 2020.
The entire Murphy Corridor Improvements Project is on schedule to be completed by Summer 2021.
Modernization improvement work between Brosterhous Road and Country Club Drive began the week of April 6 and is expected to be completed by the end of August.
Construction Activities for the Upcoming Week
- Cascade Natural Gas will begin relocating gas main facilities
- Continued installation of sanitary sewer, water, and stormwater facilities
Construction Traffic Control
Brown Trout Place is open to right-in/right-out traffic. Please note, Brown Trout Place will be closed at Murphy Road again in June when westbound traffic on Murphy Road is detoured.
Stage 1: Complete
Stage 2: Late April through late June
- Two-way traffic on temporary bypass road.
- Expect intermittent flagging during construction of roadway and utilities.
Stages 3 & 4: Late June through late August
- Westbound traffic detour on Murphy Road, between Brosterhous Road to Country Club Drive.
- Eastbound traffic on Murphy Road will be maintained.
- Expect intermittent flagging.
