Murphy Corridor Improvements Project Update – December 7, 2021
Thank you for your interest in the Murphy Corridor Improvements Project.
Construction activity is nearly complete on the Murphy Corridor Improvements Project. Work will continue through the end of the year along Brosterhous Road under the railroad bridge on the pedestrian passage and sewer extension. Installation of the Murphy bridge fence is delayed due to supply chain delays.
Project Activity – Week of December 6
- Landscape work along the bridge will be completed this week.
- Crews will continue to work on punch list items.
Road Closure Notice
The northbound lane of Brosterhous Road is closed between Murphy Road and Knott Road through the end of December (the southbound lane is now open). The closure is for the construction of a shared-use path for bikers and pedestrians under the railroad bridge and for a sewer extension project. The new sidewalk will connect to existing sidewalks to the north and south and create a safe passage under the railroad bridge. The timing of the project is based on permits issued by BNSF Railway.
