Murphy Corridor Improvements Project Update – June 1, 2021

Thank you for your interest in the Murphy Corridor Improvements Project.

Murphy Road is now open between Country Club Drive and Parrell Road. All closures have been removed, and both westbound and eastbound travel lanes are open to vehicular traffic. Intermittent flagging should be expected as landscape work continues into June.

Week of May 31 Construction Activities

  • The project will hit a major milestone with eleven concrete girders being erected for the BNSF Railway bridge overcrossing. Cranes will begin moving the 126-foot long, 125,600-pound girders on Wednesday. Please do not enter the construction zone.
  • Expect to see increased activity between the Brosterhous Roundabout and BNSF Railway tracks as crews prepare to backfill the bridge abutments in the coming weeks.
  • Landscape and irrigation work will continue along Murphy Road.

An interactive map of closures and detours can be found online at www.bendoregon.gov/traffic

Traffic Update

One-way traffic will be maintained east to west on Murphy Road from Country Club Drive until paving and striping work are completed. Please do not attempt to access Murphy from Parrell or other side streets as it is currently closed and will be fully closed to two-way traffic.

Please use caution and watch for flaggers and construction crews.
