The Murphy Corridor Improvements Project addresses safety concerns, connectivity, and mobility issues in southeast Bend. Construction of a three-lane roadway with bike lanes, sidewalks, and safe crossings is currently underway between Country Club Drive to Brosterhous Road. Construction of this phase of the project is planned to be completed in August 2020.
Traffic Changes through July 2020
Please note, several traffic changes took effect this week and will last through the end of July. Expect intermittent flagging. Traffic changes include:
- Westbound traffic detour on Murphy Road between Brosterhous Road to Country Club Drive.
- Eastbound traffic on Murphy Road will be maintained.
- Brown Trout Place will be closed at Murphy Road when westbound traffic on Murphy Road is detoured.
Construction Activities for the Upcoming Week
- Crews will place the embankment on the east side of Murphy Road
- Continued removal of asphalt and curbs on the south side of Murphy Road
- Crews will continue constructing the subgrade for Murphy Road
- Continued installation of water and stormwater facilities
