Traffic Change: Week of November 23

The temporary bypass road connecting Country Club Drive to Murphy Road will be removed. In place of the bypass road, traffic will be routed through the new Country Club roundabout, connecting Country Club Drive to Murphy Road east (toward Brosterhous Road). Please note, traffic will be closed at Murphy Road west of the roundabout (toward Parrell Road) due to a full closure between Country Club Drive and Parrell Road. Local access to residences and emergency traffic will be maintained at all times.

WESTBOUND DETOUR: Take Murphy Road to Country Club Drive. Turn Right on Knott Road. Turn right on China Hat Road. Turn right on Parrell Road.

EASTBOUND DETOUR: Take Murphy Road to Parrell Road. Contiue on Parrell Road, turn right on Brosterhous Road, and follow to stop sign. Turn right on Brosterhous Road and follow through the Brosterhous roundabout to Murphy Road.

Local access to residences and emergency traffic will be maintained at all times.

Construction Activities for the Upcoming Week

• Murphy Road will close between Country Club Drive and Parrell Road on November 23. Local access to residences and emergency traffic will be maintained at all times.
• The temporary bypass road connecting Country Club Drive (south) to Murphy Road (east) will be removed the week of November 23.
• Final work will continue on the roundabout.
• Demolition work will begin between Country Club Drive and Parrell Road.

Construction of the new single-lane roundabout at the intersection of Murphy Road and Country Club Drive is entering the final stages. Construction of the roundabout is planned to be completed this month, weather dependent. 

As part of the next phase of the Murphy Corridor Improvements Project, construction of a three-lane roadway with a left turn lane, a protected pedestrian crossing, shared-use paths, bike lanes, sidewalks, street lighting, and landscaping improvements will begin November 23 on Murphy Road between Country Club Drive and Parrell Road. Work is expected to be completed in Summer 2021.
