Newport Corridor Improvements Project Update – August 27, 2021

SAFETY FIRST

Due to a case of vandalism on the jobsite, Bend Police Department will be increasing its patrols in the neighborhood. If you see any suspicious activities, please notify Bend PD immediately.

Slow Down: Back to school means sharing the road. Students are returning to school on September 8. It’s never more important for drivers to slow down and pay attention than when kids are present – especially before and after school. We are working with Bend-LaPine School District to provide safe areas for students to commute to and from school. Please review the map below detailing these areas and bus detour routes and limit any additional traffic during drop-off and pick-up times. Activities associated with school this fall will vary and change, causing constant change to traffic conditions.
