PROJECT OVERVIEW

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE – WEEK OF MARCH 25-MARCH 31
10th Street Waterline Work
- Night work at the NW 10th Street and Newport Avenue intersection has begun. Work hours are from
8:00 PM–7:00 AM. Night work continues through tonight. - Newport Avenue continues to be open to through traffic during daytime hours.
- This closure is needed for the replacement of an aging water line (see photo above).
- Business accesses continue to be available from NW Ogden, NW Milwaukee, and alleyways between
NW 9th Street and NW 11th Street. - Detours route traffic onto NW 9th Street and NW 11th Street.
- Beginning next Monday, March 29, short segments of NW 10th Street will be closed for day work for approximately two weeks. Work hours transition to 7:00 AM–5:30 PM (See the ‘Work Zone’ in the image below).

PROJECT UPADATE
Newport Corridor Improvements – Segment 1
- The next phase of work is set to begin the week of April 5. Segment 1 will be daytime work.
- This work segment will include the closure of the NW 9th Street and NW Newport Avenue roundabout and closure of NW Nashville Ave. (see the Segment 1 illustration below)
- Daytime work hours will be in effect from 7:00 AM–5:30 PM.
- Access to businesses of the NW 9th Street Roundabout area will be maintained.
- Traffic near Highland School will be impacted by Segment 1 construction. Now more than ever, awareness of pedestrian/student traffic becomes paramount.

PROJECT COMMUNICATIONS
- Access to all businesses will be maintained.
- EMS, buses, and many other delivery/service providers have been included on this distribution list.
- Please help us in spreading the word to your clients, customers, and delivery personnel regarding detours and closures.
- Share the project website (provided below), where others can also sign up for updates using the
