Olney Pre-construction Open House Jan. 14

Changes are coming to Olney Ave to make it a safer road to drive, walk, bike, roll and more.

You are invited to a Pre-construction Open House

Construction is scheduled to begin on Olney Avenue in February. Before construction begins, you are invited to learn more at a Pre-construction Open House from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Jan. 14, 2015, at the Element Bend Hotel located at 1526 NW Wall St.

This open house will focus on the construction schedule and what to expect during construction including road closures and detours. This is an open house style public event with no formal presentation. Members of the community can drop in at any time from 4:30-6:30 p.m. to explore information stations, ask questions and interact with the project team.

If you can’t make the in-person open house, an online version with the same information is available beginning Jan. 14 at bendoregon.gov/olneypedbike.

Olney project includes work above and below ground on Olney Ave from Portland bridge to NE Second Street

The Olney Pedestrian and Bicycle Improvements construction area includes Olney Avenue from the Portland bridge to NE Second Street. Safety improvements also include two intersections: Wall Street and Olney Avenue and NE Second Street and Olney Avenue. To increase efficiency, save money and reduce construction impacts, water and sewer improvements will be completed during the Olney transportation construction.
