Online Open House available until July 13!

Over the last two months, the City has hosted six “pop-up” events, a guest speaker event, and a Community Open House to inform the community about the Core Area Project and the potential for a new Urban Renewal District for this area. Thank you to those of you who have attended these events!

For those that could not attend the Open House, an Online Open House is available for community members to share their input on the project and until July 13. Please share this opportunity with your friends, family, and peers!

Approximately 130 people were engaged through these various events and 56% of the comments we have received so far are transportation related. In addition, we have heard a desire from the community for affordable housing and increased amenities in this area such as public art and community gathering spaces (community gardens, civic space, etc.).

The Urban Renewal Advisory Board (URAB) has met three times. At their last meeting, they adopted a set of Guiding Principles to create a common vision for the Core Area. A summary of the public outreach results will be shared with URAB at their next meeting on Tuesday, August 13 from noon – 3p.m. at the Bend Municipal Court.
