Public Hearing on Water Public Facility Plan cancelled

The Wednesday, January 18 public hearing before the Bend City Council on the proposed Goal 11 Water Public Facility Plan has been cancelled. This hearing was a component of the City’s Urban Growth Boundary expansion remand process.

The hearing has been cancelled because the City has submitted a request to the Oregon Office of Environmental Public Health for an extension to comply with the Long Term 2 Enhanced Surface Water Treatment Rule (LT2 Rule). The State’s decision on this request may affect the timing of certain improvements proposed in the Water Public Facility Plan, including those related to the Surface Water Improvement Project.

Once the City receives a decision from the State, a new hearing will be scheduled before the City Council on the Water Public Facility Plan. This new hearing will be noticed through the Bend Bulletin and the City’s website.
