Reed Market Rd. G.O. Bond work underway

Reed Market Ground BreakingCity Councilors Doug Knight and Mark Capell helped kick-off the G.O. Bond Reed Market Road project.  This is the largest project and includes:

  • Newberry Dr. to 27th St.
Update to three-lane urban standard with bike lanes and sidewalks
  • Reed Market Rd./15th St.
    New multi-lane roundabout
  • 3rd St. to Railroad – Update to three- lane urban standard with bike lanes and sidewalks. Relocate and update the intersection of American Ln. and Reed Market Rd., including moving and reconstructing the American Ln. Bridge

In May 2011, Bend voters passed a General Obligation (G.O.) Bond measure for street improvements throughout the city. This allowed the City of Bend to issue up to $30 million to upgrade several major street corridors and intersections. Three roundabout projects were completed last year.
