REMINDER: Franklin Avenue Open House is Aug. 22

MIDTOWN CROSSINGS – FRANKLIN AVENUE OPEN HOUSE

We’re enhancing walking, biking and rolling safety on Franklin Avenue between Harriman Street and NE Fifth Street.

Join us for an open house to learn about the project and review design options for the Franklin Avenue safety improvements. At this event, you can meet the project team, ask questions, view design options and share your feedback.

  • WHEN 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2024
  • WHERE:  Newberry Hotel – Mt. Bachelor Event Room, 300 NW Franklin Ave.
  • ONLINE OPTION:  Aug. 22 – Sept. 5 at bendoregon.gov/midtowncrossings

Franklin Avenue Safety Improvements is part of the Midtown Crossings Project, which will improve east-west travel between downtown and the Central District and includes improvements to four key connectors in the area: 

Phase 1: Greenwood from Wall st to second st

  • Greenwood Avenue: Corridor and undercrossing quick-build improvements and long-term planning 
  • Second Street: Streetscape and stormwater improvements 
  • Hawthorne Overcrossing: Preliminary design for a new pedestrian and bicycle bridge 
  • Franklin Avenue: Corridor and undercrossing improvements
