Street Resurfacing – Night Work Scheduled

Sections of Reed Market Rd., Mt. Washington Dr., and Neff Rd. have been scheduled for resurfacing as part of the City of Bend 2012 Street Maintenance Program. The resurfacing work will be completed in segments and includes a preparatory phase of grinding and patching, followed by the final asphalt overlay. Construction is scheduled to begin September 5 and will be completed over a ten day period.

Road and lane closures will be required to complete the work. To reduce traffic impact, all resurfacing work will be performed at night between the hours of 7:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m. Please note the construction schedule below:

Construction Schedule

The general contractor on this project is High Desert Aggregate. Project dates are estimates based on favorable conditions; schedule variances may occur due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

    Sept. 5, 6, 7:         Reed Market Rd. LANE CLOSURES, Century Dr. to Bend Parkway (grinding and patching) 
                                Mt. Washington Dr. LANE CLOSURES, Chandler Ave. to Century Dr. (grinding and patching)

    Sept. 6, 7, 9:         Neff Rd. CLOSED, 27th St. to Eastwood Dr. (grinding and overlay) 
                                (Construction extended to include Sept. 9 – Updated 9/7)

    Reschedule:          Reed Market Rd. CLOSED, Century Dr. to Bend Parkway to. (asphalt overlay) 
                                Mt. Washington Dr. CLOSED, Chandler Ave. to Century Dr. (asphalt overlay)
                                (Low night-time temperatures will delay construction – New dates/times TBA) 

What to Expect During Construction

• Construction hours: 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
• Road and lane closures – detours and traffic delays
• Parking and load restrictions 
• Construction noise and dust 
• Use alternate routes to avoid construction zones
