Two Bulls Fire Information
An informational meeting open to all public and media will be held Monday evening at 6:00 pm at Bend High School, located at 230 NE 6th St in Bend. Fire representatives will give a current and expected fire briefing and will be available to address questions and concerns. Overflow parking is available at First Presbyterian Church (230 NE 9th St).
No structures have been impacted to date. There have been no injuries. The cause is still under investigation.
Bend LaPine School District is closing William E. Miller Elementary, Cascade Middle and Summit High schools on Monday, June 9. All other schools are open as scheduled
The Bend Park and Recreation District closed Shevlin Park and advises residents to avoid Skyline Park near Cascades Middle School.
To help the operation, agencies also ask that Bend area residents avoid the Skyliners Road and Shevlin Park Road and western Mt. Washington Drive areas. Recreational trails in the Phil’s Trail area should be avoided.
This fire is under the command of Oregon Department of Forestry. The Oregon State Fire Marshal, Deschutes National Forest, City of Bend, Deschutes County Sheriff, Deschutes County Emergency Services, Deschutes County Health Services are working closely with the ODF to disseminate information.
