Weekly Construction Update Week of November 11th
Construction of the 15th Street roundabout and sidewalk extension project is complete and opened on November 1! Thanks to all who helped make this a successful phase of the Murphy project and those impacted by traffic detours and construction over the past several months.
All closures are now removed, and both Northbound and Southbound travel lanes are open to vehicular traffic. Intermittent flagging (however no lane closures) should be expected as landscape work continues for the next couple weeks.
Upcoming activities:
Expect to see crews working in the Brosterhous Road and Murphy Road areas in early December as we begin preparing for the next phase of construction. Motorists should anticipate intermittent flagging Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
A pre-construction open house for the Brosterhous Road roundabout will be held in early February 2020. During the open house, the project team will share project staging, traffic impacts and detours, construction timeline, and activities. Construction of the Brosterhous Road roundabout is scheduled to begin in mid-February, pending no adverse weather conditions.
Design activities:
Ongoing design and alternatives analysis for the BNSF bridge overcrossing.
