Weekly Construction Update Week of November 4th

Construction of the 15th Street roundabout and sidewalk extension project is complete and opened this Friday afternoon, November 1!!  Thanks to all who helped make this a successful phase of the Murphy project and also those impacted by traffic detours and construction over the past several months.

All closures are now removed, and both Northbound and Southbound travel lanes are open to vehicular traffic.  Intermittent flagging (however no lane closures) should be expected as landscape work continues for the next couple weeks.

Ongoing construction activities:

  • Installation of the new waterline, parallel to the BNSF railroad tracks on Bend Parks and Recreation District and Bend-LaPine School District property, will continue over the next several weeks.
  • Landscape work will continue through mid-November.
  • The School District has begun work in 15th Street to the south of Murphy.  City of Bend Private Development or the Bend LaPine School District may be contacted for construction and detour details.

Please contact the project team with concerns, comments, and questions at 541-322-9919. Weekly updates will be published intermittently over the next couple of months as minimal work will be taking place within the traveled right of way.  Construction activities are expected to begin near Brosterhous in late 2019 or early 2020, at which time weekly updates will continue.  Monthly project progress emails will continue as scheduled.
