Weekly Construction Update Week of October 21st
The 15th Street roundabout and sidewalk extension project construction is on schedule and nearing completion. Major construction work will be completed at the end of October 2019. Landscape and irrigation work will continue after the completion of the roundabout.
Construction activities for the upcoming week include:
- Road striping will take place on 15th Street, Chloe Lane, and Ferguson Road.
- Installation of roundabout curbs and sidewalk work will be completed.
- Roundabout asphalt paving is nearing completion.
- Installation of the new waterline, parallel to the BNSF railroad tracks on Bend Parks and Recreation District and Bend-LaPine School District property, will continue over the next several weeks.
- Road signs are being installed.
- Work on the water quality pond is nearing completion. The pond will capture storm water runoff from streets and sidewalks while mitigating flooding and improving water quality.
- Roundabout work is targeted to be complete at the end of October 2019. Landscaping and irrigation work will continue after roundabout is fully open.
Road Closure Information
A full road closure will be in place at Golden Gate Place through late October. 15th Street will continue to be closed to southbound traffic at Ferguson Road with local access to Chloe Lane until the roundabout work is complete. It is anticipated that normal traffic flow will resume at the end of October. Intermittent flagging (however no lane closures) should be expected as landscape work continues after the roundabout is fully open.
