Wilson Avenue Corridor Project Update – January 27, 2023

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

15^th Street Intersection Closure – February 20 Through Late April 2023 (weather permitting)

• The intersection closure for the construction of the Wilson Avenue and 15^th Street roundabout will begin on February 20. The construction of the 15^th Street roundabout is expected to be completed in April 2023, weather permitting.

• NORTHBOUND DETOUR – Take 15^th Street to Reed Market Road. Turn right on 9^th Street. Turn right on Franklin Avenue. Turn right on 10^th Street (turns into Bear Creek Road).

• SOUTHBOUND DETOUR – Take 15^th Street to Bear Creek Road (turns into 10^th Street). Turn left on Franklin Avenue. Turn left on 9^th Street and continue to Wilson Avenue.

• EASTBOUND DETOUR – Take Wilson Avenue to 9^th Street.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

Modernization of 9th Street to 15th Street – January 30 through February 3

• Crews will be installing a new waterline on Wilson Avenue. Please be prepared for flaggers coordinating traffic through lane shifts on Tuesday, January 31 and Wednesday, February 1.
• Drywell and storm catch basin installation work continues.
• Work will continue on the retaining wall for the 15^th Street & Wilson Avenue roundabout.
• Crews will continue pouring curbs and sidewalks along the north and south side of Wilson Avenue between Manley Avenue and 15^th Street.

GENERAL PROJECT NOTES

Please be prepared for flaggers coordinating traffic control and possible short delays around the intersection of Wilson Avenue and 15^th Street. Drivers will have full access until the intersection closure on Monday, February 20, 2023.

• Access to all area businesses along the construction area will be maintained.
• Please do not enter the construction zone before, during, or after hours.
• Daytime work hours are in effect from 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
• There are many construction projects in the area and throughout the City of Bend. Travel safely.

• Please help us in spreading the word to your clients, customers, and delivery personnel regarding detouring and closures.
• EMS, buses, and other delivery/service providers have been included on this distribution list.
