Wilson Avenue Corridor Project Update – June 21, 2022
SAFETY FIRST
The Wilson Corridor Improvements project will provide a cycle-friendly corridor including protected bike lanes, shared-use paths, and the City of Bend’s first-ever bicycle-protected roundabout at the intersection of 9th Street and Wilson Avenue. The roundabout will operate the same as a single-lane roundabout but with a protected bike lane around the outside between the sidewalk and vehicle lane, adding an additional crossing for cyclists next to the pedestrian crossing on each leg. Cyclists will have the option to utilize the protected bike lane or travel lane.
