Wilson Avenue Corridor Project Update – June 30, 2023
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: Week of July 3- 7
Modernization work on Wilson Avenue from Fourth Street through Centennial Street is scheduled through the fall. Please be prepared for flaggers and a westbound detour between Fourth and Ninth Street.
STAGE ONE: Fourth Street through Centennial Street
Crews will pause construction on July 3 and 4.
- Installation of light pole bases will continue along the north side of Wilson Avenue.
- Crews will tie in the waterline and water meters on Edgewater Lane.
- Drywells installation work will continue.
WILSON AVENUE WESTBOUND DETOUR – beginning the week of May 15
Take Ninth Street south to Reed Market Road. Turn right on Reed Market Road. Turn right on Third Street and continue to Wilson Avenue.
Stage 1: May 15, 2023 – Fall 2023
Modernization of Fourth Street through Centennial Street
Improvements include:
- Crossing at Fifth Street with refuge island to help protect pedestrians
- Dura-curbs used for on-street bike lane protection
- Curb extensions to improve the visibility of pedestrians along Wilson Avenue
- Crosswalk lighting will be added at the Second Street and Fifth Street pedestrian crossings


GENERAL PROJECT NOTES
- Access to all area businesses along the construction area will be maintained.
- Please do not enter the construction zone before, during, or after hours.
- Daytime work hours are in effect from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- There are many construction projects in the area and throughout the City of Bend. Travel safely.
