Wilson Avenue Corridor Project Update – May 26, 2022

SAFETY FIRST

Any time you enter a construction zone, it’s important to increase your following distance between other cars. Ideally, you should have between two and three car lengths between you and the vehicle in front of you, which will give you adequate time to stop if you need to.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE FOR MAY 23 – MAY 27 

Wilson Avenue Corridor Project – 9^th Street & Wilson Avenue Roundabout

• The new bike lane will be poured. 
• Crews will continue pouring stamped concrete islands. 
• Sewer service will be installed. 
• Excavation work will continue on the east end of Wilson Avenue. 
• Crews will continue pouring driveways and prepping and pouring sidewalks.

DETOURS IN EFFECT

The 9^th Street/Wilson Avenue Intersection Remains Closed.

Construction of the 9^th Street and Wilson Avenue Roundabout is anticipated to be completed by the end of June 2022.

GENERAL PROJECT NOTES

• Access to all area businesses along the construction area will be maintained.
• Please do not enter the construction zone before, during, or after hours.
• Daytime work hours are in effect from 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

PROJECT COMMUNICATIONS

• EMS, buses, and many other delivery/service providers have been included on this distribution list.
• Please help us spread the word to your clients, customers, and delivery personnel regarding detouring and closures.
• Share the project website information (provided below), where others can also sign up for updates.
