The City of Bend invites cyclists of all ages to Bend Bike Night on Monday, May 13 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at The Grove (921 NW Mt. Washington Drive) in Northwest Crossing.

This block-party style event will be fun for the whole family with interactive bike trainings, raffles and a host of community partners who focus on bike safety initiatives and education in Bend like Oregon State Representative Emerson Levy, Commute Options, Bend Bikes, Oregon Adaptive Sports, Bend Park & Recreation District, Bend Fire & Rescue and the Bend Police Department.  

Attendees who bring their bike will be eligible for additional prizes raffled throughout the evening and discounts to several area food vendors will be offered with the proof of a helmet. 

Roll into the event on a Bike Bus! 

Bend Bikes will lead two bike buses, or group bike rides, from northeast and southeast Bend to arrive at The Grove together. Bike buses push off at 4 p.m. and folks can join at different stops along the way. Routes and sign-ups are available online at bendoregon.gov/bike-night. 

Bend Bike Night was organized in response to outreach from the Bend community and Bend City Council’s commitment to providing education initiatives focused on bike and pedestrian safety.

La ciudad de Bend invita a ciclistas de todas las edades a la Noche en Bicicleta en Bend el lunes 13 de mayo de 4:30 a 6:30 p.m. en The Grove (921 NW Mt. Washington Drive) en Northwest Crossing.

Este evento será divertido para toda la familia con cursos interactivos de ciclismo y sorteos. Será realizado con colaboradores que se centran en las iniciativas de seguridad y educación sobre como andar en bicicleta en Bend e incluyen la Representante Estatal de Oregon Emerson Levy, Commute Options, Bend Bikes, Oregon Adaptive Sports, Distrito de Parques & Recreación de Bend, y los departamentos de Bomberos y Policía de Bend.   

Las personas que traigan sus bicicletas podrán optar a premios adicionales del sorteo a lo largo de la tarde y calificarán para descuentos a varios vendedores de comida si llevan su casco.  

¡Llega al evento en un Bicibús!  

Bend Bikes dirigirá dos bicibúses, o paseos en bicicleta en grupo, desde el noreste y el sureste de Bend para llegar juntos a The Grove. Los bicibúses saldrán a las 4:00 p.m. y podrán unirse a ellos en las distintas paradas del trayecto. Las rutas y las inscripciones están disponibles en línea en bendoregon.gov/noche-en-bicicleta-en-bend.

La Noche en Bicicleta en Bend se organizó en respuesta a la retroalimentación de la comunidad y el compromiso del Ayuntamiento de Bend para ofrecer iniciativas educativas centradas en la seguridad de ciclistas y peatones.
