Newport Corridor Improvements Project Update – December 30, 2021
In observance of New Year’s Day, on December 31 there will be limited personnel on-site. Please have a safe and happy New Year.
Beginning January 3, 12th Street, from Ogden Avenue to Newport Avenue, will be closed. This closure is anticipated to continue for two months. (Weather Permitting)
SAFETY FIRST
Traffic patterns near Newport Avenue will be changing next week. There may be orange construction cones and barrels adjacent to Newport Avenue. Even though construction crews may not be present in all areas of the project limits, these cones indicate hazards or equipment. Please use caution while driving on the unpaved section of Newport Avenue.
With winter weather conditions continuing, the City of Bend prioritizes plowing and sanding on the highest-use streets that accommodate the most drivers, major employment areas, schools, and transit routes.
