North Interceptor Sewer Line Project Update – August 06, 2020
Thank you for your interest in the North Interceptor Sewer Line Project. Construction of Phase II is underway. As part of Segment I, a full closure of Pioneer Loop began on July 23, 2020, and is expected to last through late September 2020. A detour map for the Pioneer Loop closure is shown below. Access to private property adjacent to the closure will be maintained at all times for emergency services.

We know the detour is of significant impact to the residents along Pioneer Loop and apologize for the inconvenience.
Current and upcoming construction activities for Segment 1 (Pioneer Loop to the City-owned Juniper Ridge property) include:
- Clearing and removing existing vegetation
- Performing pre-split drilling and blasting
- Rock crushing
- Begin excavating, pipe installation, and backfill
Please note, a traffic change on Deschutes Market Road is anticipated for Fall 2020. Traffic will be reduced to a single lane with the use of a traffic signal for approximately one week. Advance notice will be provided before the traffic change via outreach emails and reader boards along Deschutes Market Road.
