Paving Work on NE 8th St.

Road Work Ahead SignNE 8th Street Pavement Work Scheduled – Expect Delays

The City of Bend Streets Division is scheduled to complete asphalt milling and pre-level paving on NE 8th Street between Franklin Avenue and Butler Market Road starting the week of August 18. This work will be completed as part of the Street Preservation and Maintenance Program. Lane and street closures will be required to complete the work. Travelers should expect delays. Construction and associated road or lane closures are scheduled to occur in phases. The project is expected to last approximately two weeks; however, weather has a large influence on the schedule, and construction may be delayed because of precipitation or unforeseen circumstances.

Project dates are estimates based on favorable conditions; schedule variances may occur due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Project updates and progress will be posted online at http://bendoregon.gov/streetpreservation.

Work Zone Information
Typical working hours are weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. However, work may occur outside these times to expedite the project. Road closures will be utilized. Alternate routes suggested to avoid the construction zones.
