Road work to begin on Empire Ave.

Empire Ave. from Third St. (Hwy 20) to 18th St. has been scheduled for asphalt overlay as part of the City of Bend 2013 Street Maintenance Program.  All work will be performed at night (7 p.m. – 7 a.m.) to minimize impacts in this high traffic area. Please note the construction schedule below:

• Dates TBD: Prep Work Empire Ave. from Third St. – 18th St. rolling lane closures for Prep Work,
(Northbound and Southbound travel open – expect delays

• Dates TBD: Paving Empire Ave. from Hwy 20. to Parkway Bridge
(Road Closed – use detour or alternate route)

• Dates TBD: Paving Empire Ave. from Third St. to 18th St. (Lane closures: Westbound first, then Eastbound) Two-way traffic will be maintained – expect delays)

• Dates TBD: Paving Continues along Empire Ave. with rolling lane closures to complete paving in turn lanes, medians, etc.

Project dates are estimates based on favorable conditions; variances may occur due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
