Columbia Roundabout Improvements Project Update – April 21, 2021
THE COLORADO AVENUE/COLUMBIA STREET INTERSECTION REMAINS CLOSED
SAFETY FIRST
This project continues to progress rapidly. Concrete work in the roadway is now underway. Concrete takes time to cure completely; please follow only the designated pedestrian ways. Please do not assume it’s ok to walk on any of the other concrete surfaces regardless of how they look.
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
April 21 through April 27 – Colorado/Columbia Intersection
- Concrete paving of the roadway continues.
- Permanent signage installation will start soon.
DETOUR
- The Colorado Avenue/Columbia Street intersection remains closed. Construction is on schedule, and the closure is anticipated to last through the middle of May.
- The following detour remains in effect.

PROJECT DESIGN

BUSINESS ACCESS
Business Access remains open on all legs of this project affected by the current detour.
Access to Mill Point, OSU-Cascades, 705-775 SE Bonnett Way, 600-650 SW Columbia, and Deschutes Ridge businesses is available by driving past this sign and through the Columbia Street/Shevlin Hixon Intersection.
