Columbia Roundabout Improvements Project Update – July 1, 2021

SAFETY FIRST

The construction site is open to construction and emergency response vehicles only. The site remains closed to public traffic. Emergency services have been instructed that these routes will be clear for their use. Any unauthorized vehicles passing through can decrease their response time and safety.

On July 5, there will be limited personnel on-site in observance of Independence Day.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

Simpson Avenue/Columbia Street Scheduled Construction

Week of July 1–July 7

  • Installation of utilities and streetlight base installation. 
  • Installation of new stormwater structures.
  • Construction of intersection subgrade and base rock in preparation for paving.

DETOURS IN EFFECT

Current Road Closures 

  • Simpson Avenue and Columbia Street Intersection

GENERAL PROJECT NOTES

  • Business Access in the area remains open.
  • Please do not enter the construction zone before, during, or after hours.
  • There are multiple construction projects in the area and throughout the City of Bend. Travel safely.
