Columbia Roundabout Improvements Project Update – June 23, 2021

SAFETY FIRST

Cascade East Transit is operating its Ride the River shuttle out of Park & Float near The Pavilion. There will be an increase in pedestrian traffic along Shevlin Hixon Dr. Please use additional caution when driving the detour routes as the hot weather continues.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

SIMPSON AVENUE/COLUMBIA STREET SCHEDULED CONSTRUCTION

Week of June 23–June 30

  • Conduit and utilities will continue to be installed.
  • New stormwater structures and pipes continue to be installed.
  • Crews will begin laying the subgrade that establishes the grading of the roadway below the asphalt.

DETOURS IN EFFECT

Current Road Closures 

  • Simpson Ave and Columbia Intersection

GENERAL PROJECT NOTES

  • Business access will remain open on all legs of this project affected by the detour.
  • Please do not enter the construction zone before, during, or after hours.
  • There are multiple construction projects in the area and throughout the City of Bend. Travel safely.
