Core Area Events start tonight!

Don’t forget to join us for our upcoming events starting tonight! The City of Bend is hosting two upcoming events to help educate and engage the community about the Core Area Project including an interactive Open House as well as a guest speaker event. The Core Area Project will create a common vision and implementation plan for the heart of Bend. The project aims to identify project and program needs as well as implementation tools, such as urban renewal. Please save the dates for these upcoming events.

Guest Speaker Event with Mary Hanlon- TONIGHT!

Mary Hanlon will present examples of how other communities have approached Urban Renewal implementation, followed by Q&A. Mary Hanlon, founder of Hanlon Development,  strives to enhance communities by helping create high-quality, sustainable, well-designed housing, commercial, and mixed-use projects.  specializes in socially responsible real estate and economic development projects. She has an extensive background in development in both the public and private sectors, having provided consulting services for over $2.4 billion in planned real estate development projects in Oregon, New York, Maryland and South Carolina over the last 14 years.

Join in helping to shape the heart of Bend by engaging in this fun interactive open house. The project team will have interactive materials and educational information available about the City’s Core Area Project and the work of the Urban Renewal Advisory Board. If you are not able to attend the Open House in person, there will be an online version available.
